What a restaurant index is measured against

You pay to be assessed. You do not pay to pass.

The fee is the same whether you pass or fail

It is charged before the outcome is known and it is not returned on a decline. If passing were the thing you bought, a decline would come with a refund. It does not.

The methodology has weights, not adjectives

Five components with a number against each one, what it measures and which source it comes from. The threshold is fixed before anyone is scored.

The approval rate is published

How many paid to be assessed and how many were listed, for every city and every edition. A programme that passes everyone who pays is an invoice with a logo on it.

One-click removal, no conditions

Anyone can ask to come off the index and comes off. No retention flow, no exit survey, no questions.

The one test that covers all four: the fee buys the assessment and nothing else. Pass or fail it costs the same, it is not returned, and the count of declines is published next to the list.

Both prices are for the assessment and what follows it. Nobody is charged twice for the same edition, and nothing renews on its own.

Then what does the money buy?

Being listed is a fact about you, and once published it is never withdrawn. Being verified is that fact still current, and something a guest can check in four seconds from your door, your menu or your site. The fee covers the documentary check, the emblem and the record it resolves to.

Your page, and it stays up

Everything a guest or a journalist would want to check, on one page they can open without asking you: the score against each weight, every source we looked at and the day we looked at it. Published the day the edition closes, and it stays there. Next year is a new assessment; this year does not disappear because of it.

What we do not promise: a position, a ranking, or traffic. Nobody controls what an assistant answers. What we control is that when it looks, there is something accurate, public and quotable with your name on it — and that is the part that does not exist today.
